Quality Manager

A fantastic opportunity for a Quality Manager has arisen with a leading FMCG company based in Longford.
This is an exciting role for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and will play a significant role in supporting quality activities for the site.
Full-Time, Permanent Position.
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, flexible start/finish times.
Excellent salary on offer.

20 days Annual Leave.

Responsibilities:
- Manage operations to meet BRC, DAFM, and customer standards, especially for UK retailers.
- Prepare for and host audits, visits from customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Handle customer quality inquiries and resolve complaints.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and legal obligations.
- Collaborate with the Production Team on food safety, quality, and issue prevention.
- Compile and present monthly Quality KPIs for business improvement.
- Report non-conformances and conduct root cause analysis.
- Align QMS, food safety, and due diligence systems with the company's requirements.
- Manage product traceability, laboratory testing, and testing programs.
- Implement appropriate hygiene GMP/HACCP prerequisite policies.
- Assist R&D in new product trials and material optimisation.
- Collaborate with suppliers to minimise quality problems.
- Foster a strong quality culture within the site.
- Coach, develop, and train the Quality Team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- 10 years of QA/QC/technical experience in manufacturing.
- Management experience in FMCG company with good communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve Quality & Production targets.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing QMS to recognized accreditation standards.
- Knowledge of BRCGS, retailer customer standards, and audits.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Experience in a continuous improvement environment (e.g., 6 Sigma or lean manufacturing) is advantageous.
