Quality Technician

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Technician to join a leading manufacturer based in Louth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Quality and Technical Manager, ensuing the management systems and products in place are compliant with both internal and external standards.
Hours - Alternating monthly:
Shift 1) 7am - 4pm Mon - Thurs, 7am - 12pm Fri
Shift 2) 9am - 6pm Mon - Thurs, 9am - 2pm Fri
Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in starting up and transitioning production lines and products to ensure smooth operations and efficiency.
- Provide support to manufacturing operations to ensure products are made according to specifications and meet customer requirements.
- Ensure that all products comply with quality, legal, and safety standards set by external bodies and customers.
- Investigate and address any non-conformances or issues on-site and externally, and implement effective corrective and preventive action plans.
- Analyse and report on quality testing results for both internal and pack samples.
- Ensure compliance and release of raw materials and packaging by verifying their specifications and conducting necessary analyses.
- Perform internal audits, foreign body inspections, factory inspections, safety inspections, etc., to meet internal and external standards.
- Support the quality, occupational health and safety, and production teams in maintaining the certification of ISO, BRC, FSC, and customer standards.
- Monitor environmental conditions in production areas to achieve sustainability targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with an external service provider to maintain the on-site pest control program.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a third-level science qualification, preferably in the field of chemistry.
- At least 2 years of experience as a QC Analyst/Technician or in a laboratory role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with BRC, ISO, and FSC standards.
- Knowledge of customer non-food standards.
- Training or experience in internal auditing.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
