We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Manager to join a leading FMCG based in Newry.

 

• Negotiable salary depending on experience

 

Your Duties:

• Retailer and BRCGS Audit Management.                                                                                                      
• Food Specific Legal compliance.                                                                                                                       
• Compliance to customer requirements and standards.                                                                                         
• Service Supplier Management.                                                                                                                     
• Keeping up to date and Horizon scanning for food safety and legality concerns.                                             
• Facilitate the day to day Technical Management of ingredient approval, food production and distribution.    
• Lead / Support the HACCP Team.
• Management of a large multidisciplinary team within the Technical Department.                                        
• Lead the Technical Function to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work.
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement in all areas of the Technical Department and site.
• Lead and manage the Quality, Hygiene, Training functions on site as appropriate.
• Manage the resolution and close out of issues / incidents which have been escalated.
• Identify and implement Best Practice within the Technical function to help facilitate business improvements
• Accountable for ensuring that new products and processes are introduced to site that are safe, legal and compliant with customer requirements and on time.
• Develop and maintain a positive proactive relationship with key retail and export customers.                     
• Chair technical meetings.                                                                                                                      
• Set and report on relevant KPI's and objectives.                                                                                  
• Work closely with the production team to achieve best results for food safety and efficiency.

  

Desired Criteria: 

• Excellent planning and organising skills.
• Highly Motivated.
• Previous Experience in Food Manufacturing Industry.
• Business Related Degree.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
