We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Development Assistant to join a leading FMCG based in Newry.

 

• Negotiable salary depending on experience.

 

You will play a key role in assisting the development of new and exciting products based on clear product briefs, ensuring these products are delivered on time and within cost and that all NPD staff have full knowledge of what is currently in development.

 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a passion for food and the development of new food to go products by assisting in the product development processes.
• Assist in the daily running of the NPD kitchen. 
• Be responsible for the rotation and documentation of ingredients used in sample creation.
• Help maintain all ingredient samples and document so they are easily found when required for development.
• Assist and become fully engaged in the product development processes.
• Assist with the NPD stage process from the Idea Generation, through to Product Launch by working closely with the wider NPD team
• Assist with the preparation of dishes for photoshoots.
• Help with the preparation of and provide kitchen support during the NPD tasting sessions.
• Support the New Product Development team on testing recipes with proposed new ingredients.

 

Requirements:

• A passion for food and an interest in consumer & market trends in “food to go”.
• Have a can-do mentality and used to problem solving.
• Effective communication skills that are transferrable to both customers and staff.
• The ability to follow recipes and execute to a high standard.
