Fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join a leading FMCG based in Newry.

 

• Negotiable salary depending on experience.

 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, agree and monitor maintenance expenditure to deliver targeted levels of plant performance within budget.
• Ensure engineering spares and consumables are procured and managed to meet engineering and production needs at minimum cost.
• Manage and control engineering costs, overheads, and overtime expenditure in line with budget.
• Produce a monthly report of performance against budget / KPIs for engineering on site which is presented at the monthly operations meeting.
• Put in place and manage a planned preventative maintenance programme.
• Continually measure engineering performance against budget cost standards and drive a culture of continuous improvement across all production lines.
• Manage all agreed capital expenditure projects.
• Recruit, manage and motivate the engineering team.

 

Requirements:

• Three years management experience in an FMCG, chilled environment.
• Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering discipline.
• Proven experience of online preventative maintenance software.
• Proven management experience of a maintenance team.
• Experience in dealing with external service providers, and regulatory bodies.
