Exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a leading FMCG based in Newry.

 

• Negotiable salary depending on experience.

 

As Business Development Manager you will effectively manage and lead the company’s Retail business to ensure that the total Trade Channel sales and margin mix are in line with company objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the overall commercial Retail strategy.
• Developing a proactive Trade Channel plan to both retain existing profitable customers and to constantly identify new prospective customers in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.
• Carrying out regular, internal Food Service Wholesale Category reviews to ensure the continuous removal of slow selling and poor margin SKUs.
• Delivering all required price increases to ensure the required profitability of the overall Retail Trade Channel is maintained.
• Support tasting trials, trade shows and other key events throughout the calendar.
•  Assist with the identification of tender opportunities and the preparation of tender responses as required.

 

Requirements:

• Third level qualification or minimum 3 years FMCG successful track record.
• Minimum 2 years successful track record in FMCG sales/marketing.
• Full, unrestricted driving licence and flexible with travelling (UK & Ireland).
