Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Reporting to the Factory General Manager, joining us as the Safety Health & Environmental Manager, you’ll be a member of the management team responsible for driving EHS compliance and ensuring robust and effective EHS programs and procedures are followed in line with Site, Customer and Legal requirements. You’ll champion Health, Safety & Environmental management on site and actively promote a developing safety culture within the site as well as ensuring that EH&S key performance indicators are fully integrated into, and properly reflected, in overall site performance reporting.

 

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • As a member of the site management team, you will be responsible for driving the site EHS strategy agenda and improvements.
  • Provide monthly reporting to division of accident stats and site performance / monthly reporting against group standard implementation.
  • Develop and implement the site EHS vision and strategy in line with group strategy to ensure continued improvement and that all site, customer, and legal requirements are being met.
  • To drive the development and implementation of a strong safety culture inclusive of all colleagues and contractors
  • To develop, implement and update environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, training and manuals.
  • To manage relationships with external bodies and customers and to be the first point of contact for audits.

 

About You:

This role would suit a self-motivated, well-established Safety, Health, and Environment Manager, as you’ll be a member of the site leadership team. You will also demonstrate the following:

  • You are an experienced EHS Manager, used to working in a fast-paced environment, with knowledge of EHS.
  • You’re an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills, able to work cross functionally and positively influence stakeholders and colleagues.
  • You’ve the ability to identify and foresee potential problems from an EHS perspective, to identify solutions and implement in a timely manner.
  • You’ve well developed analytical, numerical and computer skills.
  • Striving constantly to raise the standards in EHS.
  • The role will require flexibility on a weekly basis to ensure that any EHS issues can be addressed.
