Customs Assistant - Grocery Retailer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customs Assistant (Hybrid working) to join a Grocery Retailer based in Kildare.

 

Package Details:

• Excellent salary. 
• Hybrid working.
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Working hours - 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Pension and health cover.
• Will start off as an 11 month contract with view to permanency.

The role involves working on customs processes including import and export processing, port clearance and associated customs compliance works.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing import and export declarations via customs software systems and Revenue Online Service.
• Liaising with key stakeholders in the customs process such as Government Agencies, Suppliers, Supply Chain 3rd party service providers and Internal Departments.
• Monitoring port clearance operations and ensuring the efficient movement of goods through the customs clearance process.
• Completing all associated customs data requirements such as Declarations, Masterdata, Post Clearance checks and KPI’s.

 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customs environment.
• Previous experience in processing customs declarations.
• A relevant Customs qualification.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Full drivers licence is essential.
