Production Supervisor

Our client is a high-volume manufacturing site based in Co. Wicklow. Having recently made a multi-million-euro investment in an automated state-of-the-art production line, our client is seeking a high calibre Production Supervisor (Day Shift)  to lead the factory production and lead a small team of production operatives.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with a food industry background but would consider someone with alternative management experience if they can demonstrate the right transferable skills. 

 

Responsibilities:

• To assist with planning and efficient running of the factory and maximise production output.
• To supervise Production operatives and assist with production, dispatch, stock rotation and paperwork.
• Efficient use and Cleanliness of the packing area.
• Accurate completion of paperwork and QA checks.
• Training of Production Staff on production procedures and assisting the Factory manager with production plans.
• Ensure the effective day to day organisation of production, cleanliness and quality.
• To maximise machine running time and staff productivity.
• To ensure all daily paperwork is completed correctly and accurately.
• To adhere to all procedures set out in the company’s quality manual.
• Review and respond to health and safety issues.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

• Level 3 HACCP.
• Level 3 Food Safety/Supervision.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
• Preferably 2 years’ experience in supervisory/management within the food industry.
• Reliable, Flexible approach to working hours.
• Numerically sound, Computer literate and good level of numeracy & literacy.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams and individuals.
• Forklift experience essential.
