Join our client as a pivotal member of their site leadership team, reporting directly to the site director. As the Technical Manager, you'll manage and lead our technical, quality, and hygiene teams to ensure the highest standards of food safety, legality, and quality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute a proactive technical strategy aligned with business priorities and excellence in quality.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture that empowers our teams and drives continuous improvement.
• Serve as a key technical interface with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and drive the implementation of HACCP and quality management systems.
• Manage crisis situations, including public recalls, with poise and professionalism.
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness across departmental functions while meeting business and customer requirements.
• Oversee budget management and drive the completion of site and customer KPIs.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in strategic technical leadership within a meat manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, legality, and compliance with UK legislation.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate technical and hygiene teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a passion for driving change.
• Level 4 HACCP and food safety certification.
