Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist

We have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to join a leading food company in Kilkenny. This role is an excellent opportunity for a driven and motivated H&S Professional with a forward-facing approach in driving a positive safety culture.

Negotiable salary depending on experience.

Key Accountabilities:

Manage the Site Environmental Health and safety System.
Responsible for the completion and regular review of risk assessments.
Ensure that all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
Responsible for the H&S logs and Corrective action tracking.
Report on business EHS risks, KPIs and trends accurately with data and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements.
Carries out internal audits and site inspections in conjunction with Site Management, recommends corrective actions, improvements and document findings.
Manage the waste regulatory aspects of production

Skills and Experience Required:

A degree in a Health and Safety.
Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and Environment.
A minimum of two years’ experience working in a heavy industry or food manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of factors impacting on health and well-being and of H&S regulatory compliance including auditing.
