Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Food Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring our factory maintains the highest levels of quality control and food safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update the company's Quality Management System in line with legal, BRC, MPQAS Bord Bia, and customer standards/requirements.

• Manage a team of quality professionals, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.

• Liaise and build professional relationships with management, production staff, suppliers, and customers.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislation, including reviewing and updating the HACCP Plan.

• Maintain an effective internal auditing program.

• Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding specifications and quality-related matters.

• Investigate customer complaints and implement appropriate corrective and preventative measures.

• Liaise with officials from the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine.

 

Requirements:

• Background in food manufacturing environments, with knowledge of BRC, retailer, national, and producer group codes of practice and food safety protocols.

• Minimum of 3 years of management experience, along with a relevant graduate degree.

• Experience in leading customer and regulatory audits.
