Duties of the lab manager include:

• Ensuring that the policies and procedures defined in the Quality System Manual are understood and implemented within the laboratory.
• Ensuring all samples are tested to specific customer requirements.
• The completion of the out of specification test certificate and the release of results.
• Carrying out in-house calibrations of equipment.
• Carrying out an internal audit programme.
• Monitoring for improvement through internal/external audits and trending of internal/external proficiency results/Risk assessments.
• In-put into ongoing trends within the factory, carrying out trials or validations of new processes and advising the technical department whenever necessary with regards to microbiological issues.

 

Requirements:

• A scientific qualification, ideally in microbiology.
• 5+ years micro lab experience.
• Have audit participation experience.
