Maintenance Technician

We have an exciting new Maintenance Technician opportunity with a successful, leading Irish FMCG based in Longford.

Negotiable salary depending on experience.
Shift Allowance.
On call Allowance.
Shifts are: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6am on rotation Monday - Friday.
This role will be Monday to Friday based with the occasional on call cover.

Responsibilities:

Carry out the maintenance of production process equipment, to include: planned preventative/scheduled/predictive maintenance tasks and to carry out equipment surveys.
Undertake Mechanical and Electrical trouble-shooting on the production lines and equipment.
Electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment.
Carry out detailed root cause analysis on breakdowns to implement corrective repairs.
Review planned preventative maintenance procedures to improve their quality and effectiveness.
Repairs to mechanical and control systems equipment including pneumatics and hydraulics.

Requirements:

Previous experience in FMCG / Food manufacturing would be an advantage.
Strong mechanical or electrical background. With 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment post apprenticeship.
Experience with planned preventative maintenance.
Trades/Diploma qualifications.
Available for call out duties and / or overtime when required.
