Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

 

Benefits: 

- 3% pension contribution from the company matched

- Annual Leave: 21 days rising to 22 days after 5 years of service 

- Salary is negotiable, depending on experience  

- Day Shift: Monday-Friday with overtime 

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to provide technical support and problem-solving expertise within the busy Maintenance/Engineering environment of a leading food producer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance strategies to achieve performance goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to meet schedules.
• Inspect machines for compliance with standards.
• Complete work orders, upload job details via handheld devices, and ensure paperwork is accurate.
• Develop strong working knowledge of site mechanical equipment.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• Time-served MAMF (Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter) qualification.
• Experience with machines, process equipment, controls, automation, and refrigeration systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility for shift work, overtime, and on-call duties.
• Full, clean driving license.
