Our client, a leading retailer in Ireland, is looking for a Lead Range & Insights Manager to join their team. As our Lead Range and Insight Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product offerings. This position provides the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, leverage exceptional market insights, and drive category growth. You will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation and excellence.

 

You can expect to spend 60% of your time in their office locations or local sites and the remainder working remotely.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Range & Insight team to deliver customer-focused ranges that drive category growth.
  • Combining multiple data sources and category insights to analyse performance, identify opportunities, and address market gaps.
  • Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to project-manage range initiatives aligned with overall business strategies.
  • Managing and developing the Range & Insight team, showcasing leadership behaviours and encouraging individual growth.
  • Continuously improving processes to ensure simpler and more efficient ways of working.
  • Maintaining range and display principles, working with the Space, Range, and Display teams to ensure planograms meet high standards.
  • Overseeing the merchandising schedule for range events and managing the end-to-end critical path.
  • Working closely with external partners, to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Adhering to company policies, including storage protocols, and completing required Commercial Income and Grocery Regulations training to maintain compliance.
  • Ensuring all agreements are accurately documented in line with Commercial processes and reporting any complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt.

 

You will need:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in Project Management and/or Category Management (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, particularly with market data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to diagnose business problems, develop hypotheses, and implement actions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across functions.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • A customer-first mindset with an inquisitive approach.
