Operations Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for an Operations Manager to join an award winning food company in North West Cork. The site is BRC accredited and they supply leading retailers.

 

• Negotiable salary DOE approx €60k - €80k.
• Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm.

 

Responsibilities:

• Act as site manager with full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the plant.
• Managing a team of skilled operatives on a weekly basis.
• Management of all site operations ensuring all products are manufactured to specification and working closely with the QA function to ensure food safety and BRC compliance. 
• Manage and control the purchasing of packaging, ingredients etc to ensure. sufficient stocks are controlled for the various SKU’s produced in the plant.

 

Requirements:

• Third level experience is desirable in a Food Science related degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar position in an industry with high volume product.
• Experience of both HACCP and BRC vital for the role.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
